even at night my heart instructs me.
This evening I was outside in the beautiful weather, spending some quiet reading the Book of Psalms in my Bible and spending some time in silent prayer. While going through my routine of praying for the guidance and direction of God’s Will, I had a little friend drop in. Now I probably at one point would have dismissed this and shooed the little guy off my arm, but instead, I chose to sit there and watch him for a bit.
I watched quietly as he trudged about the forest that is my forearm, going up down and around the obstacles that met his path.
I decided to look at this as I was being spoken to. What message could I be getting from the little visitor who popped in as I was asking for guidance? I continued to watch as he navigated and corrected his course. He’d stop for a moment sit up, look around, and then carry onward. He’d only stay for those brief moments to get his bearing and continue on.
I found it inspiring that even though he fell from the tree above me and landed in strange territory, he never gave up trying to make his way.
