We Have Officially Filed For Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status

I am pleased to announce that after three years of fighting uphill, Monday, we were finally been able to file with the Internal Revenue Service for our 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Exemption. Though we have not yet been approved, this is more of a clerical matter than a necessity.

We are not required to have this exemption, but many donors and organizations require it as a form of validation that we are a legitimate and legally sound organization. We are blessed by a generous donor and dear friend to our ministry who has helped us in many ways over the last two years. I’m not naming names because I don’t like dropping names without consent, they know who they are, and I could not thank them more.

This Non-Profit, tax-exempt status will allow us to obtain discounts and donations of many items we currently pay a great deal of money to maintain. Freeing up these expenses will allow us to grow even stronger and bless so many more people. One of the projects that will benefit significantly from this exemption will be our Scott’s Pantry Project. Scott’s Pantry is a food and resource support program for the homeless and in need that we had to suspend due to a lack of funds to maintain it. We have had conversations with several major grocery providers in our area that are eager to help us supply such a project once we have this exemption letter in hand. This is just a small example of the intensity this will bring to us. I patiently wait on the edge of my seat for news on this filing. We ask that you pray for the Lord’s blessing on this, and we thank all of those who have helped get us to this stage.

God Bless,
