Garbage In, Garbage Out

In my mid-teens, circa the Early 1990’s I was introduced to the world of personal computers. I can tell you that compared to what they are today one can buy calculators more powerful than my first computer. Despite their differences, there have always been inflexible laws of computers that never change. The most common of these is "Garbage In, Garbage Out." This phrase means that if you input a program into a computer that is not properly developed (hence Garbage In), the program will not render quality output (Garbage Out). I'm a parent, (of a child well beyond high school age) but with that aside I have seen enough to know children are just the same when it comes to Garbage In, Garbage Out.

Sadly said, I have seen children and familes destroyed because one parent has spoon-fed lies and misinformation to a child about the other parent they do not regularly live with. We have all seen it happen between children as well. It only takes one well placed rumor to ruin a reputation. I see no difference between this no matter how it originates, Be it Garbage from a bad computer program, or misinformation it is all equally destructive. The only common factor is it has a source.

I have observed the same philosophy when it comes to the modern "woke" construct. It is a matter of misinformation, bad programming being given to our children resulting in the propagation of distorted history, destruction of traditional family roles, and above all the deletion of God and biblical guidance from our society. It's no secret that outside of my ministerial duties, I am heavily involved with several organizations that are battling the distortion of history and protecting the best interests of children from all walks of life. As a Christian, I feel duty-bound to stand up for the children against evil. Yep, I said it EVIL.

Bold statement? Of course, it is, but I'm not the first to make such a bold proclamation.

Jesus Said,

24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

Matthew 7:24-27 (NLT)

Why though would people take to something that is a lie? It happens all the time, every day. People are enticed by more money, more power, what is easier, what sounds or feels good.

The Apostle Paul saw this coming, both in his time and ahead.

3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.

2 Timothy 4:3 (NLT)

Some have said to me, "Why fight so hard against it? You're not going to change anything." I refuse to believe that. My faith does not allow me to give up that easily. I base this on Titus 1:11, though money is not the only motivation evil tempts with, and what we are combatting today can only be compared to Sodom and Gomorrah in contrast to the false teachings Paul was addressing in his letters.

11 They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching. And they do it only for money.

Satan tries to whisper his bidding in all of our ears, no matter who we are. No matter how much we go to church, or read our Bibles, or protect ourselves he still tries. None of us are as perfect and resistant as Jesus. With that said, even though we all slip on a step from time to time, we still need to stand strong and combat the whispers of garbage others have not resisted.
