RE: COVID-19 aka “Coronavirus”

For Immediate Release
With the recent surge of precautionary closings and voluntary quarantines, Diakonos Independent Ministries of Maryland has decided to restrict appointments. We will be restricting appointments to online and telephone interactions only until further notice. We will also not be doing visitation or response calls to hospitals, senior housing facilities, or residential treatment facilities. Home visits will be followed up with by phone and online resources during this time frame.
We have chosen to take this precautionary position on this health matter as we interact frequently with those who are elderly, ill, or immune-suppressed.
Several of our volunteers also contend with health matters that could be complicated by this illness as well.
We will be evaluating this situation in regard to our planning of community events and inter-community worship services frequently as this health matter continues.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this challenging health matter and invite you to learn more about COVID-19 aka “Coronavirus” at https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public
Any questions or concerns regarding this health matter and our ministry can be directed to our office by phone at 443-203-8238 – Option 2, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
May God Bless you all, wash those hands! and stay well.
